The Mallacoota and District Angling Club has finalised the winners of its February fishing competition.
The club was delighted to have a number of members from the Lavington Angling Club attending the official weigh in and have exchanged phone numbers to keep in touch going forward.
There were 14 people present at the weigh-in, with 21 participants registered to fish and eight anglers active with catches.
Even with the weather less than ideal, 25 fish were still caught and weighed in.
John Stella was again prominent in the results, winning the largest flathead (61 centimetres) and largest bream (42.5 centimetres).
Pommy Parker was delighted to win the largest luderick, with his 35.5 centimetre specimen.
Brock York had some luck, winning the largest trevally (30 centimetres) and the major prize in the raffle.
The registration prize was pocketed by Will Reinelt, the grateful winner of a $40 gift certificate for any of the shops in Mallacoota.
A vote was taken to change the weigh-in time in April back an hour to 3pm.
The next competition is from March 21-23, with the target species, bream, flathead, ludrick, and tailor.
