With perfect weather on both Thursday’s and Sunday’s afternoon last week, it was great to see an increase in the social bowls numbers.
Both afternoons consisted of two games of 10 ends, with some of the club’s newer members in attendance.
Thursday’s winners was the all ladies team of Karen Chenney (skip), Lynn O’Brien, Beryl Dyce and Sue Robinson, while Sunday’s winning team was Greg Rankin (s), Beryl Dyce, Scott Farnell and Jan Lynn.
The next social bowls afternoon will be on Thursday (April 10), with players to be at the club no later than 12.30pm to allow teams to be organised.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
The mixed pairs championships will be played on Sunday, April 27, commencing at 10.30am.
Entries can be made by adding your names to the list on the outside noticeboard at the club.
UPCOMING MEETINGS
Two important meeting are coming soon, with a general meeting to be held on Thursday, April 10 at 11am.
This meeting is open to all members who are encouraged to come along and discuss any matters, that they would like to be brought forward at the Annual General Meeting.
The AGM will be held on May 4, with all members asked to attend these meetings.
