Orbost Fire Brigade swung open its doors last Saturday to welcome the public to its open day. The event aimed to recruit new members and inform attendees about fire safety over the winter period. There are plenty of roles as a CFA volunteer, such as responding to emergencies like fires and rescues and support roles such as getting the brigade out in the community through fundraising or safety education.
