The Mallacoota and District Angling Club hosted the Kevin Becker Home Away from Home Competition, as part of its monthly fishing round.
Special guest in attendance were Wilma and Ron Becker to present the Kevin Becker Memorial Trophy to the winner of the biggest bream, John Stella.
As part of the presentations, Wilma was recognised for her milestone 90th birthday
last Tuesday.
Stella scoped the pool in the May competition, winning the bream (40 centimetres), flathead (70 centimetres), trevally (40 centimetres) and luderick (42 centimetres).
The meat tray raffle was won by – you guessed it, John Stella, as was the registration prize.
The event saw 10 anglers registered to fish and 21 fish weighed in via photo, with no assisted juniors and no juniors in the competition.
The next competition is from June 27-29 with the weigh in at the clubrooms on Greer Street at 3pm on Sunday, June 29.
The targeted fish are bream, flathead, salmon and leatherjacket.
