Orbost Snowy Rovers moved back up to third place on the ladder in the East Gippsland Junior Football Association under 13 competition, with a convincing victory over Bairnsdale last Sunday at Lochiel Park.
The young Blues kept the Redlegs scoreless while booting nine goals of their own in the 30-point win.
Hugh Scott was unstoppable up forward, kicking five goals in a best-on-ground performance, well supported by Hunter Greaves who finished with two.
Other superb four-quarter players included Angus Seal, Chad Rogers, Hunter Findley and Samson Clementine.
After a promising start in the under 15s which saw Bairnsdale leading by just one goal at quarter, the Redlegs kicked into another gear, running out impressive 50-point winners.
Kayden Smith kicked two of the Blues’ three goals, while the better players in a disappointing loss were Lachlan Carey, Lachlan Robinson, Charlie Joiner, Jarrah Morrison and Daniel Martin.
The Blues trek to Lindenow this Sunday to do battle with the Cats.
