Local Government Community Grants are now open to football clubs across Gippsland’s six local councils, who can apply for funding to support their initiatives.
Clubs are being encouraged by AFL Gippsland to check your local council for more details on funding eligibility and specific areas you can apply.
AFL Gippsland are happy to assist with applications or require a letter of recommendation.
Recently two Gippsland facilities were successful with project grants from Sport and Recreation Victoria’s Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund.
They included the Baw Baw Shire Council’s “Western Park Two Oval Pavilion Project” and the Wellington Shire Council’s “Cameron Main Oval Changeroom Refurbishment”.
These projects will enhance the facilities and support the growing number of participants in the region.
