Local MP Darren Chester is encouraging Gippslanders to get snapping and submit their best ‘Iconic Gippsland’ photo entries for his 2026 #lovegippsland calendar competition.
This year’s theme, Iconic Gippsland, seeks images that capture the heart and soul of the region — from rugged coastlines and tranquil rivers, to historic landmarks and breathtaking vistas.
“This competition is a celebration of Gippsland and the talented photographers who live here,” Mr Chester said.
“Every year, I’m impressed by the creativity and skill of our local photographers, and I have no doubt that my 2026 #lovegippsland calendar will be the best one yet.
“If you’ve been meaning to send in your photo, don’t worry, there is still time with entries open for another seven weeks.
“By submitting a photo entry, you will have the chance to have your image featured in next year’s calendar, which is enjoyed by thousands of Gippslanders.
“Thirteen photographs will be chosen to appear in the calendar, including the front cover, with a hamper prize up for grabs for the three best entries.”
Entries close at 5pm on Friday, October 3, 2025, with a maximum of two entries per person.
To be considered for the 2026 #lovegippsland calendar, photographs must be
landscape-oriented and a minimum size of 4MB.
Entrants must also include their name, hometown, contact details, and a caption for their image.
