All three of the Orbost Snowy Rovers Football Netball Club’s teams that were involved in East Gippsland Football Netball League elimination final day at the Bairnsdale City Oval on Sunday have been successful.
The Blues were represented by two football and one netball team, who will all be in action again this Saturday in do-or-die preliminary final matches at the Bairnsdale City Oval.
The Blues staged a thrilling come-from-behind victory over reigning premier, Boisdale-Briagolong in the senior match, winning 69-65, after trailing for a greater proportion of the day.
They will take on Wy Yung this week after they were beaten in extra time by premiership favourite, Lucknow.
Reigning premiers in the thirds, Orbost made light work of Stratford, winning by 87 points, booking an appointment with Lindenow.
While in the under 15s, the Blues scored a nail-biting 39-38 victory over everyone’s second favourite team, Paynesville, 39-38.
The young Blues will now take on Lucknow.
