The Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra (ARCO) will grace Mallacoota with a special performance on Friday, October 24 at MIVA Hall starting at 1.30pm.

This Friday, October 24, the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra (ARCO) will grace Mallacoota with a performance of Mozart’s Clarinet at MIVA Hall, kicking off at 1.30pm.

This concert is part of ARCO’s regional tour, presented by Music in the Regions, and marks a rare opportunity for the coastal community to experience world-class classical music.

Under the guidance of co-artistic directors Rachael Beesley and Nicole van Bruggen, ARCO is renowned for its historically informed performances on period instruments. The ensemble’s commitment to authenticity and passion for classical repertoire has earned them recognition as “the best HIPsters under the Southern Cross” by Limelight Magazine.

The program features Franz Schubert’s String Quartet No.7 in D major, Emilie Mayer’s String Quartet No.1 in G minor, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s beloved Clarinet Quintet in A major.

These selections promise a delightful blend of joyful melodies, passionate expression, and refined elegance.

The ensemble will also workshop with the Shoalhaven Youth Orchestra and Milton Ulladulla String Orchestra, sharing insights into historical performance and expression with local young and community musicians.

Tickets are available through Humanitix.

For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the official event page.
