The Orbost Golf Club weekend of golf was staged last weekend, with golfers from all across the region hitting the splendid fairways of the popular course.
The two-day event offered a wide range of events and prizes, highlighted by a $1000 hole-in-one competition, which didn’t go off.
The course was in great order, thanks to the hard work of the committee and volunteers.
Winners of Saturday’s stableford events were Michael O’Shea (“A” grade) with 40 points and Lucas Shanahan (“B” grade) with 43 points.
The ladies’ competition was won by Trish Austin with 35 points, on countback from Mary Long.
Sunday was ambrose day with the “A” grade winners the combination of Peter Gargin, Craig Perry and Stephen Adams, with “B” grade taken out by Johnny Marshall and
RJ McCluskey.
