The Orbost community is set to come alive with the sounds of Forest Rhythms, a one-day music and arts festival celebrating creativity, local talent, and the natural beauty of East Gippsland this Saturday, November 15, 4-10pm at Forest Park.
The event will bring together an incredible line-up of musicians, artists, and community groups for a day of live performances, family-friendly activities, and delicious local food and drink.
Forest Rhythms is a celebration of connection, creativity and community — a chance to slow down, share a picnic, and enjoy the best of East Gippsland’s music and culture.
Festival producer Amber Wade said the event was born from a shared passion for community connection and creative expression.
“Forest Rhythms is about celebrating the amazing talent we have right here in East Gippsland and creating a space where everyone can come together to enjoy music, art and the outdoors,” Amber said.
This year’s line-up features a vibrant mix of local, regional
and Victorian artists, including Bonnie, Rach & Douggie, Clay McKerlie, and Taylor Sonier, who will open the show with her soulful acoustic sound.
Headlining the festival is Flynn Gurry (pictured), fresh from his Triple J Unearthed success, bringing his rising-star energy to the Far East.
Closing out the night will be
DJ ABRASIV, spinning garage
beats to keep the crowd dancing until the end.
Alongside the live music, festival-goers can enjoy: Local brews from Sailors Grave Brewing; Tasty treats from Flat Bickie and Guac On; Rotary’s popcorn and snow cones; Face painting by Maddi of Fancy Faces; Orbost Arts Centre’s locally sourced, home-grown sausages; A range of community group stalls and family-friendly fun.
Amber said the event has been made possible through the East Gippsland Producer Training Program, the support of local volunteers and small businesses, and the many talented musicians who call East Gippsland home.
“The response from the community has been incredible — people are really proud to see something like this happening in Orbost again,” she said.
Entry is free, and everyone is welcome to bring a picnic rug, relax, and enjoy the sounds of the forest.
