Orbost Medical Clinic has announced free General Practitioner (GP) visits for all patients with a valid Medicare card, helping ease financial pressures for local families and making it easier for community members to prioritise
their health.
The clinic encourages patients to register in MyMedicare with their preferred doctor during their next visit. This registration helps ensure continuity of care and allows the clinic to keep providing high-quality medical services to the community.
For those who need repeat prescriptions, Orbost Medical Clinic now offers convenient daily telehealth appointments. This service is free for patients who have seen a GP face-to-face in the past 12 months. Patients are encouraged to book their telehealth script clinic in advance to avoid running out of medication.
The script clinic is for repeat prescriptions only. Doctors will not prescribe new medications or restricted drugs such as opioid painkillers and benzodiazepines.
The clinic also continues to provide quality foot care through long-time visiting podiatrist Malcom Walker, who has been serving the Orbost community for over 37 years. Patients can ask their doctor about eligibility for low-fee podiatry visits.
With these expanded services, Orbost Medical Clinic continues its commitment to keeping the community healthy and cared for.
