After more than three decades of friendly rivalry between the Geebungs and the Cuff ‘n’ Collars, the Dinner Plain Polo will take a pause for Easter 2026.
With Cobungra Station now on the market (Stone Axe Pastoral remaining as the tenant), the decision has been made to pause the event to allow focus on the sale process.
Since its inception, the Dinner Plain Polo has been an integral part of High Country tourism, playing a significant role in supporting the communities of Dinner Plain, Hotham, and Omeo.
John and Lachlan Castran have proudly been on the journey from the start.
Over the years, the polo has grown into far more than a game; it has brought together families, friends and visitors in celebration of the spirit of the High Country, with countless memories made both on and off the field.
Organisers are currently exploring a new home for the polo and look forward to sharing further updates in due course.
They extend their sincere thanks to
Cobungra Station, Stone Axe Pastoral, loyal supporters, and the wider community for their incredible contribution and enthusiasm over the years.
