Orbost Basketball Association will hold its annual general meeting (AGM) next month as the club prepares for an action-packed 2026/27 season.
The AGM will take place on Wednesday, August 12, starting at 7.30pm at the Orbost Indoor Stadium.
All executive positions will be declared vacant, with the association eager to welcome new volunteers and committee members to help guide the prosperous local club.
In representative news, Daniel Schaefer has been officially appointed as head coach of the Orbost Raiders under 12 girls squad team for the 2026/27 season, with Kira Burn joining the coaching staff as assistant coach.
Expressions of interest remain open for remaining coaching positions across the under 12 to under 18 age groups for both boys and girls squad teams.
The upcoming squad season is set to tip off on the weekend of October 10–11 at the annual Morwell tournament.
Meanwhile, local court action is already well underway, with the new winter domestic competition officially kicking off.
