The Gippsland Croquet Association (GCA) recently held its Annual General Meeting, welcoming its incoming committee for the 2026-2027 season.
Morwell’s Kevin Young was elected president, joining vice president Mary Cornwall (Warragul), secretary Sue Cartwright (Wonthaggi), treasurer Stephen Beitz (Leongatha), VCA delegate Judy Hodder (Bairnsdale) and accounts reviewer Wilma Freeman (Sale).
The newly established pennant committee will be overseen by president Young, with Cartwright, Rhonda Smith and Cornwall representing golf croquet, alongside Freeman, Pauline Leditschke and Charles Armstrong representing association croquet.
State coach Shane Downie addressed the meeting, highlighting the strengths of the GCA while emphasising opportunities to expand on-field coaching to boost regional participation and player development.
The association expects to announce a schedule of upcoming tournaments and workshops in the coming weeks.
