East Gippsland residents now have a new way to access specialist healthcare closer to home, with The Centre – Combined Health, officially launching its Telehealth Room service in Bairnsdale.
Designed to remove the barriers many people face when attending virtual medical appointments, the service provides a private, comfortable and all-accessible consultation room, complete with reliable technology, high-speed internet and friendly staff support to help patients connect with their specialist appointments.
Available from just $20 per session, the Telehealth Room is ideal for anyone who may not have the technology, internet connection or confidence to navigate a Telehealth appointment independently.
Carolyn Donchi, owner of The Centre, said the service was created to make specialist healthcare more accessible for the East Gippsland community. The initiative also aims to support local medical practices by providing an additional option for patients who require assistance connecting to Telehealth consultations, helping ease the growing demand on general practices and healthcare providers.
“Telehealth has transformed the way people can access healthcare, particularly in regional areas, but we know technology can still be a barrier for many people,” Carolyn said.
“Whether it’s an older resident who isn’t confident using video calls, someone without reliable internet at home or simply a person wanting a quiet, private space for an important appointment, our Telehealth Room removes that stress and allows them to focus on what really matters – their health.”
Located at 5 Radford Place, Bairnsdale, The Centre’s purpose-built health hub offers an all-accessible environment with dedicated support available to ensure appointments run smoothly.
