The Marlo Caravan Park and Motel has been awarded a $150,000 grant through the final round of AusNet’s Energy Resilience Community Fund (ERCF).
The funding places Marlo among 15 councils and community groups across Victoria sharing in close to $1.7 million during this final grant round.
The fund is designed to support localised, community-led initiatives that build long-term disaster preparedness and establish practical response capabilities during extreme weather events.
Through the ERCF program, AusNet has now supported the creation of more than 90 community resilience hubs across Victoria, many of which are already fully operational and prepared to assist their local communities during future emergencies.
It’s a double celebration for the business, with Marlo Caravan Park and Motel’s Ros Mitchell initiating and organising the entry for Marlo in the Victorian Tiny Tourism Town Awards for the second year in a row.
Colin, from the Marlo Caravan Park and Motel, expressed pride in the community’s collaborative achievement.
