Last week’s Recreational Fishing Forum run by the Victorian Fisheries Authority (VFA) attracted a great crowd, with plenty of valuable information shared.
The evening was held at the Mallacoota and District Angling Club to share local knowledge, ideas and feedback about fishing in the region.
VFA staff Taylor Hunt, Mark Adams, Rohan Nichol and Alex McCormick were on hand to discuss a broad range of topics, including black bream, dusky flathead, kingfish and mulloway, along with the latest scientific monitoring results and feedback from
local tournaments.
The conversation also covered local fish stocking programs, including estuary perch, Australian bass and flathead, best-practice fish handling, and opportunities for anglers to contribute through the Angler Diary Program.
The VFA was thankful of the support of the Mallacoota and District Angling Club and everyone who came along and contributed to the discussion.
