Advanced skin renewal without mechanical needles

by

in Local News

Local skin health clinic MediSkin Skin & Laser Clinic has introduced an alternative to traditional mechanical microneedling, offering a needle-free treatment option designed to stimulate advanced skin renewal.

The treatment, known as SQT Bio-Microneedling, is designed for individuals experiencing the skin-altering effects of cumulative sun exposure, hormonal fluctuations, acne, congestion, scarring, or general ageing.

Traditional microneedling relies on hand-held mechanical devices or needling pens to create hundreds of physical micro-injuries in the skin, prompting a healing response.

In contrast, the SQT method uses microscopic spicules derived from high-quality freshwater sponges.

These tiny, silica-like structures are gently worked into the superficial layers of the skin.

Once in place, they act as a controlled biological stimulus, signalling the skin to activate its natural repair and regeneration processes.

According to clinical descriptions of the technology, the presence of the spicules accelerates epidermal turnover.

As older surface skin cells are shed, they are progressively replaced by newer, healthier cells. This cycle helps to refine skin texture, minimise congestion and reduce the appearance of pigmentation and scarring.

Additionally, the biological stimulation supports the natural pathways involved in the production of collagen and elastin, the structural proteins essential for maintaining skin firmness, strength and resilience.

Rather than providing a temporary cosmetic glow, the treatment aims to progressively improve overall skin quality over a structured course of sessions.

The introduction of this needle-free option is of particular interest to women navigating significant hormonal transitions.

Fluctuations associated with pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and menopause often trigger noticeable changes in the skin, such as uneven pigmentation, increased sensitivity, dryness, breakouts and a loss of structural elasticity.

When combined with years of cumulative ultraviolet (UV) exposure, which commonly causes rougher texture, fine lines and sunspots, such hormonal shifts can leave the skin looking depleted.

SQT Bio-Microneedling is designed to be integrated into personalized treatment programs tailored to these complex, life-stage-specific concerns.

Dermal clinicians at Bairnsdale’s MediSkin Skin & Laser Clinic, located on Wood Street, emphasise that because every individual’s skin is unique, a professional assessment is essential.

Residents interested in exploring SQT Bio-Microneedling or learning more about customised options for their specific skin concerns are encouraged to contact the clinic to arrange an individual consultation.
