50 sanitary packs on their way to India

25 August 2021
in Local News

A group of ladies from St Andrews Uniting Church in Orbost, organised a sewing group to make some sanitary packs for girls in need of support.
They have been meeting regularly to work together as volunteers for a great cause of helping others. Lockdowns did delay their work, but they kept their spirits high and made it a priority to keep connected and continue to meet when they could.
The ladies sewed more than 100 beautiful drawstring bags to put all the contents of sanitation products inside for the girls. They cleverly made shield material pads with liners and sourced other items to include in the packs such as underwear, soap, washcloths, zip-lock bags, and instructions.
