There was mixed luck on the social bowls scene this week at the Orbost Bowls Club.
Wednesday’s afternoon session proved to be a wash out with heavy showers sweeping through the venue.
However, Sunday was a complete contrast with warm, sunny and breezy conditions, which attracted a good turn out of bowlers.
Two games of eight ends were played with two team winning both of their games.
The winners, after a very close countback, were Steve Holgate and Bruce Kneebone (skip) on 30 points, with the runners-up being Maurice Frank (skip), Vanessa Frank and Greg Rankin on 29 points.
The next social bowls afternoon will be on today, weather permitting.
If you intend to bowl please be at the club before 12.30pm.
