Reigning premier Lindenow will be keen to add some more silverware to its collection when it takes on Orbost Snowy Rovers in the thirds grand final.
Lindenow has put together another impressive season, technically unbeaten after only losing four points to a forfeit in round 15 after playing some ineligible junior players.
The Cats also have shared the points on two occasions, one with Orbost, due to an injury causing the abandonment of the match, and another with Lucknow after the match was called off after some disappointing incidents on and off the field.
The Blues’ form has been patchy, looking like the obvious challengers at times, only to succumb to both Lakes Entrance and Boisdale Briagolong late in the season and relinquish their hold on the double chance.
Their recent finals wins against the Bombers and Seagulls were impressive and they go into the match in a rich vein of form.
Best and fairest winner Brayden Fenner is an exciting proposition in the ruck, where he works in well with promising midfielders Bobby Bills and Jacob Farley, who look set to be unleashed at senior level in 2025.
The freakish Kruze Farley and Angus Joiner who won the league goalkicking are a formidable combination up forward, while Hugh Barnes, Fletcher Kleinitz, Toby Herbert and Finn Donnellan are all blessed with plenty of ability and courage.
The Cats struggled to put the Seagulls away in the qualifying final, but eventually did. They did defeat the Blues by 18 points in the only completed game during the home and away season.
The Cats are led by Ben Rutherford, Latrell Harrison and Jeffrey Walker junior, who have all played senior football this season.
They get regular goals from Latrell Hood and Kobe Smith, while Tyrone Clifford, Titus Harrison and Draven White have already tasted premiership success at under 15 level this season.
Blake Bartlett and Giorgio Piccone are promising players that continue to impress.
An intriguing battle looms. The Blues will need to get off to good start as they can ill afford to give a classy side like the Cats a start.
