It was another busy week of social bowls at Orbost Bowls Club, with both sessions played in sunny and blustery conditions.
Wednesday morning’s game consisted of 12 ends however the afternoon game was shortened to 10 ends as the wind increased.
The winning pair for the day were Bruce Kneebone (skip) and new bowler Lorraine Hawkey.
On Sunday two games of 10 ends were played with only one team winning both their games.
The winners were Maurice Frank (skip), Bruce Kneebone, Troy Carruthers and Lorraine Hawkey.
Now that the junior bowls program has concluded, social bowls will revert to Thursday afternoons with pennant practice being held in the morning.
Bowlers are encouraged to bring your lunch along and stay for the whole day.
Pennant practice will start at 10am and social bowlers will need to be at the club no later than 12.30pm for a 1pm game start.
