Gippsland is home to some of Australia’s most awarded wines, cheeses, beer and gin – but how does a visitor know where to find them? The latest Eat.Drink.Gippsland guide has got them covered.
Destination Gippsland, in cooperation with Gippsland councils and the combined efforts of producers, cafes and restaurants from across the region, have collated the fifth edition of Eat.Drink.Gippsland – a stunning 134-page A5 guide to Gippsland’s best food and drink.
A high quality production aimed at attracting visitation and increasing spend in the region, Eat.Drink.Gippsland encompasses wine touring routes, town guides, farm gate maps, farmers markets and stories of some of our region’s most inspirational food and drink ambassadors.
“Gippsland has seen a steady increase in visitation post-COVID, with visitor numbers and overnights now both exceeding pre-pandemic numbers,” Destination Gippsland chief executive officer Terry Robinson said.
“It’s important that we connect these visitors with Gippsland’s exceptional food and drink offering, not only to ensure greater visitor satisfaction, but also to support small hospitality businesses across the region who are doing it tough in these challenging economic times.
“Eat.Drink.Gippsland lays out suggested wine touring routes, maps out farm gates and gives a handy summary of farmers markets across the region.
It unlocks information on our leading restaurants, breweries, distilleries and cider houses to ensure that visitors get the best possible experience in Gippsland.”
Eat.Drink.Gippsland is distributed via participating restaurants, cafes, breweries, wineries and in visitor centres in Gippsland, Phillip Island and Melbourne.
In addition, Destination Gippsland uses Eat.Drink.Gippsland to promote our region’s incredible food and drink to the Melbourne, interstate and international market via trade and consumer shows, media contacts and events.
