Talented youngster Blake Robinson took out the Orbost Golf Club Championship in a dramatic play-off last Saturday.
Robinson went into the third and final round of the championship trailing Matt Shanahan by one shot and had to survive a five-hole playoff before finally securing the title.
In “B” grade John Cuthbertson also had to endure a play-off while “C” grade went to Ron Dooley.
Glenn Dennis was the winner of the Leo Plumridge 36-hole veteran’s event.
Robinson’s effort was also enough to see him take out the Laurie Gough 54-hole handicap event, junior club championship and Saturday’s event with a net score of 70 on a countback from Len Brooker.
Nearest pin winners were Mat Marshall, Luke Endley, Peter Nicolson, Brian McDonald and Jacob Farley.
This week the club will host a golf day for mental health, with the four-person Ambrose event, starting with a shotgun start from 11am.
