Mike Brady, the man famous for writing and performing AFL anthem Up There Cazaly, will hit the Floating Tin Shed stage at Paynesville this Australia Day weekend.
The English-born Australian musician regularly performs the hit song on AFL Grand Final day at MCG, as well as other football classic, One Day in September, both songs becoming synonymous with Australian rules football.
Mike is also famous for some of Australia’s most admired advertising jingles, including “Lucky, you’re with AAMI” and “Hard Yakka”.
Mike will hit the stage on Saturday along with support from the Jump Cats.
The Jump Cats are a swinging jump blues band that plays an up-tempo style of blues that you can dance to.
Their music harks back to the 1940s and 50s when rhythm and blues was big on the scene with music from the likes of Louis Jordan, Tiny Bradshaw and later from artists such as Hollywood Fats.
The Jump Cats are a four-piece band with Mark (Harpo) Greenway on guitar, Alf Mott on the skins, Jeff Walters on Bass and Chris Hanger on vocals and blues harp.
You can see both artists on stage on Saturday from 11am-2pm and Sunday (time to be advised).
