Orbost has defeated Lakes Entrance in the annual croquet club challenge.
It had been a couple of years since the last get together and this year it was hosted by Orbost who ordered a beautiful and well run day for everyone.
Each team had 12 players, who played three matches in the doubles format event.
The courts proved quite challenging for the Lakes players, who weren’t used to the fast pristine courts.
Orbost players won 11.5 games to Lakes Entrance 6.5 games, winning the shield that was previously in the possession of Lakes.
The Orbost and Lakes Entrance Challenge Shield was introduced in 2019, after the clubs began playing the inaugural Orbost/Lakes fun days back in 2011.
