After many years working in wildlife research, protection and management, Jim Reside has a wealth of stories to tell.
Jim has spent the past few decades studying the flora and fauna of East Gippsland and beyond, first as a wildlife officer with the state government and then as co-founder and director of Wildlife Unlimited.
With a passion heavily wrapped around threatened species, some of the programs Jim helped get off the ground in East Gippsland are still active today.
Indeed, Jim’s knowledge of local flora and fauna are highly regarded in the East Gippsland region and he became the go-to person for identification and information about local wildlife.
Jim Reside has kindly offered to share some stories and highlights of his career in the environmental field working with many wonderful and talented colleagues, members of the community and different cultures.
Everyone is welcome to join for Jim’s presentation this Friday, March 21, 7.30pm, at the general meeting of the Bairnsdale and District Field Naturalists Club, Room 13, The Hub, Dalmahoy Street, Bairnsdale.
