Numbers were down slightly at Orbost Bowling Club social bowls with members being away at the Victorian Open currently being played in the Latrobe Valley.
This caused Thursday’s afternoon to be just a friendly roll up, however Sunday’s turnout was much better with two games of 10 ends being played in warm sunny weather.
The winning team for the afternoon was Ron Hatcher (skip), Margaret Coulton and Jan Lynn.
The next session of social bowls will be played tomorrow, with players to be at the club no later than 12.30pm.
Sunday will see the monthly Scroungers competition.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
The date for the next club championships, which will be the mixed pairs, has been changed due to members having commitments elsewhere.
The championships will now be played on Sunday April 27, commencing at 10.30am.
Entries can be made by adding your names to the list on the outside noticeboard at the club.
A date has not yet been set for the championship fours.
