Orbost banked it first winning points in “B” grade for the Bairnsdale Cricket Association season, when Lindenow South Glenaladale forfeited its round 10 points on Saturday.
The Blues sit 10th on ladder and will make the long trek to Meerlieu this Saturday to take on Tussocks on the turf.
In the under 16s Lucknow batted first at the Orbost Recreation Reserve, and made an incredible 1/187 from just 18 overs.
Emmett Clemetine took 1/3 from just one over for Bruthen/Orbost.
In reply, the combine were solid with willow in hand, but never ever threatened victory, finishing on 7/78 from 25 overs, with Lucas Shanahan top scoring with 35 not out, while Peter Davies impressed making 19.
