Young creatives across East Gippsland have exactly one week left to submit their entries for the annual Youth Art Prize, with submissions closing on Friday, August 7.
Open to emerging artists aged 12 to 25, the competition is designed to celebrate and showcase the region’s young artistic talent.
Submissions are being accepted across five distinct categories to accommodate a wide range of artistic styles and formats:
– Two-dimensional (2D) art
– Three-dimensional (3D) art
– First Nations art
– Collaborative works
– Digital media and photography
To support and reward local talent, several cash prizes are on offer for standout entries.
The prize structure includes:
– Overall Judge’s Choice: $500
– First Prize: $250
– People’s Choice: $250
– Collaborative Piece: $250 (to be shared among the creators of the winning entry)
