Last week two residents in Orbost were lucky enough to receive gifts in their letter box, one with a letter that said ‘#PayItForwardOrbost – Give a gift, write a kind word or make something unique!
It could be as small as a chocolate bar, a hand sanitiser, a loaf of bread or some fruit. You could be creative and make something special, buy a lotto ticket, a local voucher or home baked goods.
It is totally up to you.
If you have children then they may like to draw a picture and be part of it too. It is all about spreading the love right now and putting a smile on someone else’s face. It is the little acts of kindness that can make a huge difference.
The receiver is then asked to place the same letter along with the random act of kindness for the next person to read
so that they know that to do. Photos of the small act of kindness
are then asked to be posted on social media with the hashtag #payitforwardorbost so that the sender can see that the gift has been received and to track how well the love is being spread.
The note finishes with a simple message: ‘take care, be kind to yourself and other’.
