Orbost Primary School is celebrating its history this Saturday, inviting past and present students, staff and interested community members to visit between 9am and 12pm.
Memories from across the decades will be the focus of many discussions and catch-ups.
Education has been delivered for 137 years and has seen generations of families taught at the current location of Orbost Primary School across this time.
Orbost Primary School principal, Trish Lynn, said the feeling among staff was “bittersweet”.
“Staff are excited to move to the new school, but there’s also a sense of loss in leaving,” she said.
Education in Orbost has a long history of innovation and change.
