Orbost Secondary College outgoing school captains, Heidi Lawrence and Harry Rogers, gave an entertaining speech to reflect on their final year of school at their send-off on Friday, October 13.
“2023 for year 12s is a year to remember, a year of triumphs and trials and a year of growth and discovery,” the captains said.
“In this year, we have learnt not just from textbooks, but from each other.
“We’ve learnt that success is sweet, but failure can be a lesson.
challenge is a chance to grow and every difficult situation is a chance to rise again.
“May we approach every opportunity with courage, every setback with determination, and every success with great enthusiasm.
“As we close this chapter, let’s remember that year 12 is not just about grades or diplomas.
“It’s about the journey, the experiences, and the memories. It’s about the friendships forged, the lessons learned and the people we have all become.
