There was a good roll up of bowlers last Wednesday at the Orbost Bowling Club due in part to the combination of new times, returned travellers and beautiful weather.
Two games of 10 ends were played with a 30 minute lunch break between the games, with the winning team for the day being Geoff Robinson (skip), Geoff Lynn, Maurice Frank and Vanessa Frank.
Sunday returned to cooler overcast weather with a slightly lower turn-out of bowlers.
Two games of 10 ends were again played with the winning pair for the afternoon being Maurice Frank (skip) and Greg Rankin with 35 points, followed very closely by Bruce Kneebone and Dave Redden on 34 points.
Social bowls will be on again today, with players needing to be at the club no later than 10.30am for the morning game which will commence at 11am.
Players can BYO their own lunch, with lunch following the second game at approximately 1pm.
Bowlers do not have to stay for the whole day but can play in either the morning or afternoon game.
