Last Wednesday’s stableford event at Orbost Golf Club may have attracted only 22 players but there was plenty of excitement.
The highlight of the event was the hole in one by Tony Boome on the eighth hole, much to the delight of his playing partners.
Apart from Boome, the happiest player on course was Brian McDonald, who had a day out, winning the event and three nearest the pin awards.
McDonald had 36 points, finishing two ahead of Tony Munday.
Other nearest the pin awards were won by Andy Killeen and Peter Nicolson.
