The Hobie Fishing Series 16 will kick off with round one at Eagle Point from February 26-27.
The event was originally to be staged at Lake Tyers, but it is deemed unsuitable for an event of this magnitude at present.
The anglers will be all rested up, having not hit the water since the Hobie Fishing Series 15 Australian Championship at Camden Haven in New South Wales from November 14-17.
Western Australia’s Joseph Gardner took the crown, backing up his Angler of
the Year award and a place in the next Hobie Fishing Worlds.
Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or a newcomer to the Hobie Fishing community, what better place to start than majestic Eagle Point.
Local anglers such as Steven Pryke and Ruth Beeby will be keen for victory in their backyard.
Round two will be at Bemm River on March 1-2.
