Orbost Bowling Club has qualified for the finals in the Gippsland Bowls Region division two east conference.
The run of losses since returning from the Christmas break continued for the Green Machine last week, with division two losing to Metung 51-70.
However, despite the loss, Orbost still managed to win two rinks, gaining four match points allowing it to remain in third place on the ladder.
Winners for Orbost were Beryl Dyce, Greg Rankin, Maurice Frank, Ron Hatcher (23-18) and Janice Lynn, Karen Chenney, Kerry Edwards and Geoff Lynn (20-15)
They will play Lakes Entrance 2 in an elimination final at Bairnsdale Bowling Club.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
The next club championsip matches will be the men’s and ladies handicap singles.
The knockout matches will be played on February 20, with the finals being played on the February 27, spectators are very welcome.
BAREFOOT/TWILIGHT
Twilight bowls had to be cancelled last Friday due to rain, but there are still two chances to get involved, with the final session on Friday, February 28.
The club’s facilities are made available at a cost for adults, with children being free.
The facilities, which include a barbecue and licensed bar are open for bowlers from 5.30pm onwards.
