Orbost Snowy will have three netball teams playing in the East Gippsland Football Netball League grand finals on Saturday at Bairnsdale City Oval.
In “A” grade the Blues will take on Stratford while the 17 and 15 and under sides will play Wy Yung.
Orbost Snowy “A” grade coach, Johanna Seal, says it’s a good sign that the club has three teams competing in the biggest games of the season.
“It’s pretty exciting to have the “A” graders and the two junior grades competing this season,” she said.
“It’s always exciting to make the grand final. “To make it this far means that all our hard work has paid off during the season.
“I think it’s a great sign for the club that the two junior grades have made it through, they have been doing really well.
“We also have one of the 15 and under girls in Jorja Savory on our bench for the “A” grade game and one of the 17 and under players has played in “A” grade all season.”
Seal says the older players have played a good mentoring role through the season.
“At our trainings we open our trainings up to the 17 and under girls with the “A” and “B” graders training together,” she said.
“It has been really good and the atmosphere around the club has been good.
“Having the “A” graders and the other two grades in the grand final has brought that.”
The future looks bright for Orbost Snowy.
