In wintery conditions, the Save the Snowy Rail Bridge Committee held a walk and talk on the eastern end of the Snowy Rail Bridge works site on Tuesday, June 18.
Twenty-five members of the community heard from project manager, Lloyd Murrell, on progress of the works.
The committee members shared insights into the project background, funding and next steps.
Participants got to park in the recently completed carpark and walk on the new path to the top of the embankment where there was a discussion about the methods of repair, new decking etc, along with the location of the refurbished railway signal tower and other interpretive features which are part of the project.
